Linux Libraries
With the use of Linux, developers have access to an extensive library of drivers for different peripherals and to complete development environments.In order to provide more enterprise level integration and full control of GE863-PRO³ interfaces, Telit offers dedicated libraries and drivers available together with Linux software:
- GSM library that provides features (such as GSM calls and GPRS or PPP connections) and provides detailed examples in order to show the correct use of the API. Some of the GSM functionalities supported are:
- Serial Modem Management
- AT commands & data exchange
- SIM related functions
- GSM calls
- GPRS connections
- SMS related actions
- Bluetooth Library that helps developers to use the functions of the Bluetooth software package for configuring and managing a Bluetooth module. The main applications support:
- SIM Access Profile: defines the protocols and procedures that shall be used to access a GSM SIM card via a Bluetooth link.
- The Headset Profile: provides support for the popular Bluetooth Headsets to be used with mobile phones, car phones and fleet management devices, among many others.
- Wi-Fi Library that provides full TCP-IP stack, drivers and tools for IEEE802.11 protocol, allowing full management and configuration of a Wi-Fi™ device. The Wi-Fi Library consists of the following components:
- Wi-Fi Driver: Telit’s WE865-DUAL Linux Wi-Fi specific device driver
- Wireless Tools: Set of tools for configuring and managing the Wi-Fi device
- WPA Supplicant: Tool for configuring and managing WPATM / WPA2TMsecurity
